Dunelm

This is the worst store ever. I visited on January 12th to purchase a mattress. After leaving it in my room for over 24 hours to allow it to settle, the mattress was unusable. I had family members staying with me for the weekend, which is why I bought this mattress. However, when I tried to sleep on it the next day, I couldn't bear the terrible smell. My family members also complained about the odor, which smelled like chemicals had been poured on it. I decided to leave it out with the windows open for a couple of days despite the house becoming uncomfortably cold. I hoped that airing it out would improve the situation, but it didn't. I also contacted an agent online, who unfortunately couldn't help because I didn't have an order number to provide. The agent advised me to visit the store where I made the purchase, as it was their responsibility to arrange a return collection. Upon complaining at the store, for the second time with my purchase receipt the cashier told me that nothing could be done and that I should just accept it or reach out to the customer service. I called them and they informed me that I need to visit the store again. This has been happening for several days now. I would like to point out that two store managers have told me that they are unable to assist and that customer service is the only place to resolve the issue. It seems like they are playing a game of some sort. In general, Dunelm sells poor-quality products and their customer service/store managers are unintelligent. I hope others recognize their true nature. I should have paid more attention to the mattress reviews before making a purchase. Racist and unprofessional!

Just been into Stafford Dunelm to purchase 4 breakfast bar stools. I asked 2 members of staff for help they didn't even stop to speak to us just shouted "I'm with a customer I'll get someone to you" " no I'm busy" no one came. Went to the less helpful counter that was not either happy or helpful. This is the 1st and last visit to this store. Stick to Cannock in future.

Went in to return a product that I didnt end up needing and the elderly employee behind the till (Pam or Pat) was so rude giving me the 3rd degree firstly she was asking "what can I do for you?" And I said "Hi I'm just here to return this product" and then she just turned and was like "Why? What's wrong with it?" With such an attitude and I replied "Oh nothing I just didnt need it in the end" and she said "Then why did you even buy it" rolling her eyes and ....I was just so shocked that you allow your employee to speak to customers like that we all have bad days I know but leave it at the door Pam/Pat
